Hello. I am Andrew Hatherley, founder of The Retirement Solutions Group. Thank you for visiting our website.

I've built a successful career as a Financial Advisor working with individuals and businesses for more than 18 years. I enjoy helping clients and the public about investing and other financial matters. Given the concerns of my clients (and the vast wave of people approaching retirement), I founded The Retirement Solutions Group, a practice which focuses on women going through major life transitions such as retirement, widowhood and divorce.

I have earned the designation Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor, CRPC, awarded to financial advisors who have completed training in key retirement areas such as retirement income, employer-sponsored retirement plans, investment management and estate planning. I taught a credited finance course, The Fundamentals of Investing, at the Community College of Southern Nevada and have written several articles for The Las Vegas Business Press on business issues.

I am also a Certified Divorce Financial Analyst (CDFA) and founded the company Wiser Divorce Solutions (wiserdivorcesolutions.com), which seeks to help divorcing couples and individuals avoid the financial and emotional hazards of divorce. Having been divorced myself, I hope that sharing my experiences will help others going through divorce. I also lead the Second Saturday Divorce Workshop (secondsaturdaylasvegas.com), which educates people on the legal, financial and emotional aspects of divorce.

I was born in Watford, England. For those of you who follow English Premier League soccer you might guess correctly that I am a huge fan of Watford Football Club! A Navy Brat, I was raised in Canada, spending my early years in Nova Scotia before moving with my family to Winnipeg. I earned my Master of Business Administration (MBA) at McGill University in Montreal in 1990 and a Certificate in International Management from ESADE, one of the worlds top business schools, in Barcelona. As an undergraduate, I specialized in History and Latin American Studies. I speak Spanish quite well but am a little out of practice!

When I am not travelling or watching Watford Football Club on the TV, I like to write. I just finished my first novel and have also written several short stories and a screenplay. I also like to read, play guitar, play tennis and watch classic movies. I live in the domestic tranquility of Summerlin, which may explain the need for the occasional trip overseas!
